Jesus is not only our Saviour but also our Forerunner (Heb. 6:20). He is our example of how to live at all times and in all situations, in the Spirit, in perfect obedience to God. He never acted on His own initiative, through His own abilities or for His own glory. He did only that which originated in God, by God's power and for God's glory.

One day it will become evident that the honour and material gain were only a means by which God tested our hearts to see if we love Him above all else and we will see that the wisest people on earth are those who have sought with all their hearts to walk as Jesus walked .
